According to the Da Nang Department of Transport, the city now has 22 potential traffic hot-spots, mainly in T-junctions and intersections.

In particular, there are 8 hot-spots in Hoa Vang District, 5 in Son Tra District, 5 in Cam Le District, 2 in Thanh Khe District, and 2 in Lien Chieu District.

During his meeting on Tuesday with relevant agencies, municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Nguyen Ngoc Tuan asked these agencies to take effective solutions to erase these potential traffic hot-spots.

The focus has been on marking dividing lines, repainting road lanes, placing more warning signs, installing traffic lights at intersections, and more.

The Green Trees-Park Company will prune street-side tall grass, weeds brush and tree limbs that obscure or limit view of road users.

The Urban Environment Company will place more waste bins on pavements instead of road surface in order to ensure traffic safety and the aesthetics of local streets.
