According to the Mid-Central Region Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, a cold front moving through the south central part of the country is bringing heavy and very heavy rain to central localities from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai provinces, including Da Nang. That will keep the rain in the area through Thursday. In addition, there are further warnings of potential thunder, lightning, and strong winds.

In particular, the rainfall in Da Nang is forecast to be between 200 and 450mm, and Quang Tri 100 and 150mm, or even higher in some parts of the province.

Also, other mid-central localities from Thua Thien-Hue to Quang Ngai provinces are predicted to experience the heavy rainfall of 200 and 400mm.
