At around 6.30pm on 13 October, 20-year-old Ho Son Ngai working at the district Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department found a handbag dropped on Le Van Hien Street whilst he was on duty there. The handbag contained 100 million VND in cash.

Mr Ngai immediately brought the handbag to the Khue My Ward Police Station to report the case in a bid to ask for help from the police officers here to find owner of the dropped property.

After carrying out their investigations, the Khue My Ward police officers contacted Mr Tran Manh Hieu to return the missing property to him.

Mr Hieu said the money was to be used to buy a residential land lot in the city.
