Cold front brings showers, cooler weather to city into this weekend
A cold front is moving through the southern part of the country, bringing moderate and heavy rain to central coastal localities from Quang Binh to Quang Ngai provinces, including Da Nang, according to the Mid-Central Region Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting.
In particular, the rainfall from Quang Binh to Quang Tri provinces is between 40 and 70mm, and from Thua Thien Hue to Quang Ngai provinces, including Da Nang, between 50 and 80mm, or even over 100mm in some parts of these localities.
The effect of the front is expected to continue into Saturday (10 November). Those showers will likely linger into this weekend, especially to the Da Nang area and elsewhere along the central coast. Cooler temperatures will be possible ranging between 23 and 290C.
In the similar vein, north-northwestern winds level 3 are expected to appear in the mainland of provinces from Quang Binh to Quang Ngai, whilst north-northeastern winds level 5, with a gust of level 6, and heavy rough seas are likely to be seen off the coast of the central coastal localities.
Waters off the Hoang Sa (Paracel) Archipelago is predicted to brace for scattered rains with north-northeastern winds level 5, packing a gust of levels 6-7.
