On Wednesday, the municipal People’s Committee held a Tet get-together for intellectuals, artists, and artistes across the city.

In his remarks at the meeting, municipal Party Committee Secretary Truong Quang Nghia highly praised local intellectuals, artistes, and artists for their significant achievements they gained in 2018.

He hoped the invitees would gain even more success in 2019. He also took the opportunity to urge them to uphold their sense of responsibility, and enhance the spirit of solidarity in order to build Da Nang into a more beautiful, civilised and prosperous city in years ahead.

Also at the meeting, Chairman of the municipal Department of Publicity and Training Tran Dinh Hong encouraged local intellectuals and scientists to conduct more highly practical scientific and technological researches, and to contribute their opinions to the city’s large-scale programmes and its projects.

He also asked local writers and musicans to make their ceaseless efforts to compose many works about Da Nang in a bid to advertise the beautiful images, cultural values, and noble traditions of the city to international friends.

A representative from the invitees thanked the city leaders for their care. He vowed that local intellectuals, artists and artistes would continue with their great efforts to devote their talent, wisdom, and enthusiasm to promote the city’s progress.
