An advanced training course on rectal anomalies is taking place at the city’s Paediatric and Maternity Hospital for doctors specialised in pediatric and gastrointestinal surgery nationwide from 24 to 27 February.

The 4-day event is being jointly organised by the hospital and International Pediatric Specialists Alliance for the Children of Viet Nam (IPSAC-VN).

Trainers are professors, doctors, and experts from the U.S., the U.K, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and South Africa.

During the course, the specialists are performing a total of 20 complicated surgical operations for trainees to observe directly in operating rooms or via screens.

The course aims at helping the participants enhance their professional skills, practice diagnostic methods, treatment and surgical skills, and know how to deal with postoperative challenges for congenital rectal anomaly.
