Hadong-gun-funded gifts worth over 31,000US$ given to Hope Village
A delegation of Hadong-gun, South Gyeongsang Province, South Korea, on Tuesday, visited and presented gifts, worth over 31,000US$ in total, to children who are being cared for at the city-based Hy Vong (Hope) Village.
The gifts consist of such high quality agricultural products as organic rice and preservative-free natural fruits.
In his remarks at the event, Hadong-gun Mayor Youn Sang-Ki expressed his pleasure at the fact that all the children now have access to good care, academic education, and vocational training at the Hope Village.
In particular, over the past 25 years, a total of more than 600 poor, disabled and orphaned children from Da Nang and other central regional localities have been brought up at this venue.
The South Korean guest promised that the Hadong-gun government would maintain annual visits and gift donations to the Hope Village children in the coming time.
