First launched in 2012, the annual awards aim to honour outstanding doctors, nurses, and medical staff from the city-based public hospitals for their outstanding efforts for the health care sector and their great devotion to patients.

Attending the event were municipal Party Committee Deputy Secretary Vo Cong Tri, People’s Council Chairman Nguyen Nho Trung, and People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh.

On behalf of the city leaders, Vice Chairman Minh lauded remarkable achievements gained by the  healthcare sector over the past year. He noted the above results were mainly attributed to the high level of consensus between leaders of the healthcare sector and medical workers.

Mr Minh hoped the healthcare sector would continue its efforts to uphold their achievements and enhance their knowledge and morality in order to fulfil their assigned tasks.
