Dinh Thi Ngoc Anh, a 21-year-old woman hailing from the northern province of Ninh Binh Province has made her dream of resuming her footsteps come true.

Born in a poor family in the province’s Nho Quan District, Anh is both pretty and good at studying; so, her parents show their great loves for her. However, an unexpected blow shocked and deeply saddened Anh at the age of 12 as  a lump in her foot was discovered.

The swollen lump prevented the girl from walking normally, and forced her to be admitted to the district and provincial-level hospitals for surgery. However, every effort was in vain as Anh’s feet injury was still deeply painful despite multiple operations.

Regardless of her pains, Anh made her utmost to pursue her academic dream. After her graduation from a senior high school, Anh was admitted to the Faculty of Business Administration at a junior college in her hometown, but, shortly after, she had to quit her tertiary studies because of her recurrent disease.

Afterwards, Anh learned the Japanese language for over 6 months in preparation for job applications.

Anh decided to settle down in Da Nang to find a suitable job, and luck finally came to her as she was admitted to a city-based real estate trading company. And once again, the strong-willed young woman had to be taken to the Da Nang General Hospital for examinations of her aching foot.

After thorough examinations, doctors from the hospital’s Burn and Orthopedics Ward recommended Anh undergo necessary tests for treatment.

Doctor Do Tuan Ngoc, who directly treated Anh, said that she is a very special and resilient girl. He warned her of the fact that her surgery could face many risks such as necrotic skin lesions spreading more widely, and the possible foot amputation.

Dr Ngoc and other surgeons performed a better-than-expected surgery on Anh during which they decided to surgically remove her lesions and inflamed bone in a bid to secure the shape of her entire foot.

Until now, more than 2 months since surgery was conducted, Anh’s foot has been healed completely, and she now can walk normally.

“The results of the surgery were successful beyond my expectations. The extraordinary experience definitely made a remarkable and major change in my life.  The doctors, indeed, gave me the second life. It was like seeing the light at the end of a long tunnel!”, Anh exclaimed.

Now, the beautiful woman was able to wear dresses and shoes she loves, and feels confident to step forward on her own feet. This is really a meaningful spring when she has finally resumed her footsteps after prolonged days of pains and hardships.
