2 foreigners arrested for stealing properties
Two South Korean nationals, namely 63-year-old Kim Kwang Seung and 50-year-old Seo Kyoung Won, have been detained in Da Nang for investigation into charges of ‘stealing property’ pursuant to Article 138 of the national Penal Code.

According to the police-conducted investigations, at around 7.00pm on 1 March, a Vietnamese man named Hoang led a group of Japanese tourists to a hotel on Nguyen Van Linh Street in Hai Chau District’s Nam Duong Ward to check in.
While waiting for hotel check-in, Hoang went out to meet with his friends, but he left his backpack containing Vietnamese banknotes and foreign currencies worth 150 million VND in total at the hotel’s lobby.
When Hoang came back, he realised his backpack had been stolen, and then promptly the case to local police officers.
During their interrogations, Kim Kwang Seung and Seo Kyoung Won admitted that they had intentionally appropriate the backpack which left unattended at the lobby.
After shortly, the duo quickly left the hotel, took a taxi to the Korea Mart on Pham Van Dong Street to have some beer, and then came to a casino inside a hotel on Vo Nguyen Giap Street for gambling. The gamblers lost all the money they had stolen from the Vietnamese victim.
Further investigation into the case is still under way.
