Hoa Vang farmers to be sent to Korean locality for working

On Wednesday, representatives from the Hoa Vang District authorities in Da Nang and the Yeongyang County authorities in South Korea entered into an agreement on exchanging agricultural techniques and human resources.

Under the agreement, early next month, 61 farmers aged between 30 and 50 will be sent to Yeongyang to work with monthly income of 1,740, 000 KRW (nearly 1,545 USD) each during 208 hours. In addition, they will enjoy other benefits.

Also at the signing ceremony, representatives of the municipal Department of Foreign Affairs, the Department of Labours, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the Hoa Vang District authorities affirmed that they would create very favorable conditions for the Yeongyang County authorities to easily access distribution channels of South Korean-grown apples in Da Nang.

For his part, Yeongyang County chief Oh DoChang also pledged to give Hoa Vang District a financial aid of 150 million KRW (equivalent to 133,240 USD) to help the locality build schools, and purchase agricultural equipment.

Since 2017, a total of 233 farmers from Hoa Vang District have been sent to Yeongyang to work.

During that period, numerous senior high school pupils from Yeongyang County have visited traditional craft villages in Hoa Vang District, and exchanged educational experiences with local schools.
