Over 16-seater coaches allowed 10-minute stop for picking up or dropping off passengers
Following recent approval by the Da Nang authorities, over 16-seater tourist coaches are only allowed to stop for picking up or dropping off passengers for no more than 10 minutes in front of the Trung Vuong Theatre.
After dropping off passengers at the theatre, these coaches will move to the former Han River Port for parking.
Recently, the Hai Chau District People’s Committee has proposed to the municipal authorities to ban 4-wheeled vehicles from parking on both sides of a section of Hung Vuong between its intersections with Nguyen Chi Thanh and Phan Chau Trinh streets, and one side of a section of Nguyen Thai Hoc between its intersection with from Nguyen Chi Thanh and Phan Chau Trinh streets.
In addition, over 16-seater tourist coaches are banned from stopping and parking along a section of Nguyen Thai Hoc between its intersection with Yen Bai and Phan Chau Trinh streets, a section of Hung Vuong between its intersection with Yen Bai and Phan Chau Trinh streets, and a section of Ngo Gia Tu between its intersection with Le Duan and Hai Phong streets.
Most notably, the Hai Chau District authorities have got permission from the city’s leaders for collecting the parking fees at the square opposite the Trung Vuong Theater in accordance with the city’s regulations.
Besides, relevant agencies will be responsible for ensuring traffic safety at the square, as well as increasing their checks to handle any violations relating to illegal stopping and parking of vehicles.
Currently, the district authorities are urgently completing relevant procedures to build a parking area at the vacant land at 84 Hung soon, as well as to ask for permission from the municipal authorities to use the vacant Chi Lang Stadium as a temporary parking area.
