In the afternoon of 27 April, taxi driver Nguyen Anh Tuan took two Japanese tourists namely Chiho Oyama and Kawamoto Kohei from the intersection of Hoang Ke Viem and An Thuong 2 streets in Ngu Hanh Son District to the intersection of Nguyen Van Thoai and Thu Khoa Huan streets in Son Tra District.
After dropping the passengers, Mr Tuan found a purse in his taxi which contained 932,000 JPY (equivalent to about 200 million VND) in cash and some important personal papers. He immediately reported the case to his company, and then the company returned the missing property to the Japanese people in the evening of the same day.
Over recent years, many local taxi drivers have done good deeds as Mr Tuan. Each of local taxi drivers is considered to be a tourism ambassador for Da Nang in advertising the beautiful images of their companies, and the the city’s tourism sector as a whole, to international friends.
