The Da Nang authorities have given a nod for the municipal Department of Transportation to rearrange traffic at the eastern end of the Dien Bien Phu-Nguyen Tri Phuong tunnel.

The intention is to ensure the smooth movement of vehicles to prepare for the construction of a pedestrian bridge crossing the Dien Bien Phu Street in the coming time.
In detail, a separate strip will be built, whilst an existing walking street line on Dien Bien Phu Street in front of the main gate of the 29 March Park will be removed.
Meanwhile, existing walking street lines at the Cai Lang, and Dien Bien Phu-Hai Phong T-junctions will be kept unchanged. In addition, warning signs for road traffic users will be installed at the above-mentioned street walking lines.
The Thanh Khe District authorities will join forces with functional bodies to increase their checks over the illegal sidewalk encroachment from the eastern end of the Dien Bien Phu-Nguyen Tri Phuong tunnel to the Cai Lang T-junction in a bid to ensure a clear space for pedestrians.
