The Community Disaster Relief Fund recently organised a charity musical performance entitled ‘Connecting Community Strengths to Mitigate Natural Disasters’ at Da Nang’s Trung Vuong Theatre.

During the 2009-2019 period, a total of nearly 300 billion VND has been raised from generous enterprises, organisations, and donors.

The donated money has gone to help residents in the central region and other localities nationwide to enhance their capacity of mitigating natural disaster and coping with any consequences of disasters.

The focus has been on building 87 automatic flood warning and rain gauge stations in 10 localities in the central region and highlands, planting 106ha of mangrove forest in Thanh Hoa Province, and repairing 67 pre-schools in 10 natural disaster-hit localities.

Furthermore, more than 11,500 gifts in total have been given to regional storm and flood victims.
