It was reported that, a total of about 20 foreign tourists were stopped by the traffic police for surprise inspections. The majority of the pulled-over road users failed to show their relevant papers relating to vehicles, and their national/ international driving licences.
According to Major Thai Anh Tuan, the traffic police group leader, the monitoring and handling of traffic violations committed by foreigners were implemented in a very flexible manner. The intention was to help international tourists understand more and well abide by Viet Nam’s road traffic laws, and ensure the city’s beautiful image in their eyes as well.
Below are some photos of traffic police officers dealing with foreign violators of traffic regulations, taken on Wednesday morning by our reporter Ngoc Phu.
