On Wednesday afternoon, Da Nang People’s Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho and Vice Chairman Le Trung Chinh checked the preparations for the upcoming Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2019.

During the inspection visit, Chairman Tho praised construction units for their great efforts in completing preparatory work for DIFF, especially the main stage which was designed meticulously.

The city leader also hoped that this year’s firework festival, and some support events, including the Da Nang International Food Festival, the final round of the flash mob competition, and an art programme entitled ‘Sunshine Dancing Festival’, would leave a deep impression on both domestic and foreign tourists during the fireworks festival.

According to a report released by relevant local agencies, the preparatory work for the 2019 DIFF has been basically completed.

A rehearsal for a special musical show at the opening night of the DIFF 2019 will take place at the DIFF's main stage on the Han River in the evening of 31 May. 

The main outdoor stage will look like a vivid picture reminiscent of the image of rivers, and modern visual effects which all will stir new emotions amongst the audience. Most notably, this year’s main stage is twice as large as the previous year’s.

Besides, the floor of the main stage and LED screen systems will be lowered to facilitate spectators to watch fireworks displays during performance nights.
