Large fire at incense making factory
At 9.45am on Wednesday, a large fire gutted an incense making factory on Le Trong Tan in Cam Le District’s Hoa Phat Ward, Da Nang.

The witnesses said that a large volume of thick black smoke was billowing from the burning factory. They managed to stamp out the fire with small fire extinguishers but they were unsuccessful because there are many flammable materials in the factory. They then rang firefighters for help.
After receiving an SOS message from the witnesses, 11 fire engines, along with nearly 100 firefighters, from the district’s Division of Fire Fighting and Prevention rushed to the scene to douse the blaze.

Thanks to the great efforts of the firefighters, the massive fire was completely under control, but there was still a large amount of smoke. Therefore, firefighters are now on duty at the scene to spray water to prevent the fire from breaking out again.
The fire area covers more than 500m2 in total. At the time the fire started, there were no workers at the factory so there was no damage to people.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
