On Wednesday, Da Nang Fatherland Front Committee Chairwoman Dang Thi Kim Lien visited and presented gifts to children at a care centre for orphaned children under the management of the municipal Red Cross Society to mark the upcoming Action Month for Children 2019 and the International Children's Day (1-6).

Chairwoman Lien highly praised the centre’s staff members for their dedication and great efforts in caring for the orphaned there. She also pledged to continue giving more active support for the centre in the caring and the nurture of orphaned children.

Established in 1995, the care centre for orphaned children is now home to 25 orphans in total, including 7 disabled children.

Since 2017, the city has given annual financial assistance of over 300 million VND to the centre. To date, about 300 children have been adopted into loving families.
