City to pilot public bicycle rental services
Da Nang will provide public bicycle rental services on a trial basis this year, a spokesperson for the municipal Department of Transport revealed on Monday.

Public bicycle system will be piloted in the districts of Hai Chau, Ngu Hanh Son and Son Tra.
Accordingly, there will be between 30 and 40 bike rental spots across the city, especially on such crowded streets as Bach Dang, Tran Phu, Tran Hung Dao, Vo Nguyen Giap, Nguyen Van Linh, Hung Vuong, Le Duan, Pham Van Dong, Vo Van Kiet, and Nguyen Van Thoai. Each of these spots will have between 5 and 10 bicycles depending on the expected demand.

After installing a QR-code scanner application on their smart phones, users have to scan a QR Code to unlock the bike. They can choose online payment method via e-wallets or QR codes. Also, they can pay cash directly at service stations located in restaurants, hotels and cafes.
Rental bikes can be returned at any bike rental spot. If their bikes cannot be returned at rental spots, users will be charged an extra fee for collecting bikes outside rental spots.
