In the coming time, the Department will join forces with relevant local agencies to implement the 'Building Da Nang into an environmentally-friendly City’ project during the 2020-2030 period, with a vision towards 2045.

The focus will be on controlling the environmental pollution by 2025, setting up the environmental management systems, and striving to meet the criteria for ecological cities by 2030, as well as developing Da Nang into an ecological city meeting the regional and international criteria for ecological city by 2045.

In his closing remarks at the event, municipal People’s Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho underscored the significance of building a policy system and environmental protection law to realise the city’s goal of becoming an environmentally-friendly city.

Importance should be attached to appealing for the efficient public use of natural resources, as well as applying high-tech solutions into the garbage classification at the source, the reduction of disposable plastic waste, and the saving of water and electricity.

Also at the event, 23 groups and 11 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the municipal People’s Committee in recognition of their outstanding achievements in implementing the project over the past 10 years.
