The Son Tra District authorities and the district’s Urban Environment Company have taken numerous effective measures to ensure environmental sanitation during the city’s tourism peak season, especially the ongoing Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2019 (DIFF).

Sanitation workers cleaning up DIFF’s viewing stands

Since early May, the Son Tra District authorities have promoted the publicity of environmental protection in the mass media, as well as joined forces with the district’s Urban Environment Company to keep green, clean, and beautiful streets.

In particular, the company’s sanitation workers have cleaned up Tran Hung Dao, Ngo Quyen, Van Don, Nguyen Trung Truc, Le Duc Tho and Nguyen Cong Tru streets, the Rong (Dragon) and Han River bridges, and the DIFF’s viewing stands.

Besides, they have been actively involved in spraying water to control dust on Tran Hung Dao Street during the 5 competition days of DIFF 2019 at 2.30pm daily, and cleaning up public and mobile toilets during these days.

Recently, 2 specialised garbage sweepers imported from Germany have been put into use, whilst thirty 240-liter trash bins have been placed across the district.
