Organised by the municipal Journalists’ Association, this month’s event had ‘Journalists and Their Friends’ as its theme, attracting the participation of many reporters and donors across in the city.

Also present at the event were municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Le Trung Chinh, plus leaders of local departments and agencies.

As a result, a total of 22.7 million VND was raised from generous donors for the programme to help those in need, including reporters in difficult circumstances.

The meaningful programme started to be held in 10 August 2018. To date, over 429 million VND has been raised from 'Ly Ca Phe Yeu Thuong' programme over the past 8 months. In addition, around 166 million VND has gone to help 28 people in very difficult circumstances.

Also on the same day, a representative from the programme’s organisers gave 5 million VND to Mr Thai Cuong, a technician at the Da Nang Television Station, who is undergoing long-term treatment for his life-threatening disease.
