On Tuesday, Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Le Trung Chinh chaired a meeting with representatives from relevant agencies to check the preparations for the 2^nd competition night of the ongoing Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2019 (DIFF 2019).

In his remarks at the event, Vice Chairman Chinh highly appreciated functional bodies for their effective coordination in ensuring the success of the opening ceremony of the DIFF 2019.

He also took the opportunity to ask them to continue with their efforts to increase their checks over vehicle keeping areas during the upcoming competition nights, and perfect detailed scenarios for the second night soon.   

Stricter measures will be taken to stop the sale of DIFF tickets at the black market which are being offered at the prices of much higher than the original value.

According to a spokesperson for the municipal Department of Culture and Sports, the opening ceremony of the DIFF 2019 was organised successfully, which left a deep impression on the audience. In addition, the fire prevention and fighting, and market price stabilisation work were guaranteed.

However, there were some shortcomings in the opening ceremony. Included were sound problems from the clips, the hike in the number of non-registered vehicle keeping areas, the illegal operation of the trip boats on the Han River during the last competition night.
