During the ongoing Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2019, female police officers, nurses, doctors and journalists have been making their efforts to fulfill their assigned tasks in a bid to ensure the success of the international-scale fireworks event.

Like their male co-workers, female traffic police officers have been assigned to major streets and approach roads to the festival to ensure the smooth movement of vehicles, avoid road traffic accidents, and ensure the safety of local residents and visitors since 2pm on 8 June.

Captain Tran Thi Thu Huong and Sergeant Major Dang Kim Khanh from the Traffic Police Division of the municipal Police Department were present on a section of Bach Dang street, behind the fireworks launching area, very early.

Apart from conducting traffic arrangement activities there, they also were responsible for giving traffic instructions to invited delegations. Despite the hot weather, these women tried their efforts to fulfill their tasks well.

Meanwhile, other female police officers took the responsibility for ensuring the safety of the spectators at DIFF’s viewing stands. They were the first people to arrive in, and the last people to leave, the viewing stands.

At the eastern side of the Han River, the female urban rule force in Son Tra District were actively involved in reminding people to conduct their business activities orderly and safely.
