According to Mr Ho Minh Nam, the Deputy General Director of the Da Nang Water Supply Company (DAWACO), his unit is promptly installing a large-size pipeline measuring 900mm in diameter under the Han River in order to  ensure sufficient water supplies for residents in the districts of Son Tra and Ngu Hanh Son.

The tractor mounted pole hole drilling machine is used for the installation of the large diameter pipeline under the Han River.

The pipeline runs beneath the river, exactly at the downstream of the Tien Son Bridge, and connects to the existing water transmission pipelines located at the eastern and western ends of this bridge. “It takes only between 20 and 25 days to complete the installation work”, said Deputy General Director Nam.

It is known that DAWACO is planning to install other large diameter pipelines with a combined total length of over 12km along Ho Xuan Huong Street and the Hoang Sa - Vo Nguyen Giap - Truong Sa coastal route in order to increase water pressure at the 2 districts mentioned above.
