Nearly 7 billion VND goes to help poor and ethnic minority children
The 12th Love Connection Journey is taking place in Da Nang on 4 and 5 July.
The event was jointly organised by the Viet Nam Love Connection Journey JSC, the municipal Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the municipal Fund for Sponsoring Children, and the Be Anh Galaxy Restaurant.
Accordingly, the programme is focusing on giving 100 million VND to poor patients receiving medical treatment at the municipal Cancer Hospital, and granting 130 scholarships to poor studious pupils.
Also, heed is being paid to providing financial assistance for the Da Nang University of Economics’ volunteer programmes, and offering health insurance to 100 women in difficult circumstances.
Besides, the journey’s philanthropists will present 7 charity houses, valued at between 30 and 50 million VND each, to poor social policy families in Ha Nam and Quang Tri provinces.
Also, hundreds of millions of VND will be donated to medical stations, charity clubs, and a national football tournament for children in special circumstances.
Through the 12th Love Connection Journey, a total of 926 million VND in cash, and 6 billion VND in insurance material will be go to help poor and ethnic minority children.
