Temperatures expected to cool down next few days in the city
After baking some parts of Central Viet Nam with a prolonged heatwave, temperatures are set to cool down that will sooth some central coastal localities, including Da Nang, in the next few days, according to the Mid-Central Region Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting.
Today, 1 July, mid-central regional localities are still bracing for the average temperatures of between 35 and 37 degree Celsius in the daytime, and above 35 degree Celsius especially from 9.30am until 6.00pm.
In Da Nang, the average high temperature in the daytime is hovering at between 35 to 37 degrees Celsius in the daytime, and even over 35 degree Celsius in some parts of the city, especially from 11.00am until 3.00pm.
However, from 2 to 4 July, the city is predicted to see cloudy weather in the daytime, and experience scattered showers and thunderstorms, accompanied by lightning and strong winds, in the nighttime. The temperatures is expected to hover at between 27 to 34 degrees Celsius, and the humidity of 63%.
In particular, a low-pressure zone has established north of the Hoang Sa (Paracel) Islands, and it is forecast to strengthen into a tropical depression on Tuesday, with the winds levels 6-7, and a gust of level 9.
The tropical depression is likely to move toward the mainland and directly affect the north and north-central regions on 3 to 4 July, the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has warned.
