Green light given for expanding Non Nuoc craft village and building An Thuong Tourist Quarter

The Da Nang authorities have given a nod to spend 44.983 billion VND from the city budget on implementing a project to expand the Non Nuoc stone carving village which is situated at the foot of the Marble Mountains in Ngu Hanh Son District's Hoa Hai Ward.

The intention of the project is to ensure that all stone carving establishments at the village will be built synchronously and meet technical safety standards in production activities.

Also, the project aims to further foster the development of the village in a sustainable manner in combination with preserving and promoting the village's cultural identity.

Covering an area of 68,160m2, the project will be carried out during the 2019-2022 period.

Most recently, the municipal People’s Committee has given the green light to the construction of the An Thuong Tourist Quarter in the district’s My An Ward.

Accordingly, the district authorities in collaboration with relevant local agencies will develop management mechanism of the quarter in an effective manner. Special attention will be paid to collecting taxes from business establishments in accordance with the city’s rules, as well as ensuring order and security, fire prevention and fighting, and food safety and hygiene for locals and visitors.
