On Friday, a monkey was released back into the natural environment by the Hoa Vang District Forest Ranger Division.

Earlier, on 6 October, the Hoa Vang District Forest Ranger Division received a report from the Hoa Khuong Commune People's Committee about the appearance of a monkey in the commune’s ​​Go Ha Village. The wild animal bit 2 children there.

After receiving the report, the district’s forest rangers promptly captured and isolated the monkey in order to ensure the safety of local people.

According to initial identification, the male monkey has scientific name of Macaca mulatta and weighs about 5kg.

On 10 October, the city’s forest rangers successfully captured an injured monkey, which was in distress in the vicinity of the Son Tra Peninsula-located Linh Ung Pagoda, for treatment. The monkey is being treated and cared for by veterinarians and it will be handed over to functional bodies for its release into the wild in the next week.
