Accelerating construction of coastal paths and squares combined with parking areas

Following recent instructions from the Da Nang People’s Committee, relevant agencies and units have been busy completing the construction of coastal paths along Vo Nguyen Giap, Truong Sa, and Nguyen Tat Thanh streets, along with squares combined with parking areas along Nguyen Tat Thanh.

Amongst 5 coastal walks in Ngu Hanh Son District, a coastal path at the end of coastal Ho Xuan Huong Street has already been opened to the public.

Meanwhile, the others on the southern side of the Future Property Invest tourism area project, and at between the Furama Resort Danang and the Ariyana Danang Tourism Complex, are being expanded.

In particular, work started on the coastal walkway expansion project at between the Furama Resort Danang and the Ariyana Danang Tourism Complex in September.

The construction of the 10.7 billion VND project is expected to be completed in December.

Under the project, the path’s width will be expanded to 5m from 3m as previously approved. Besides, 0.4m-wide and 247m-long drainage ditches, a 63m-long stone revetment wall, and 28m-long reinforced concrete embankment, will be built.

Notably, a 63m-long, 7.9m-wide box culvert route will be constructed in order to ensure efficient drainage of rainwater, and environmental sanitation.

To date, the basic construction of stone revetment wall and box culvert route has been already completed. Meanwhile, 80% and 50% of the building of drainage ditches and reinforced concrete embankment respectively have been already finished.

In May, the municipal authorities have given a nod to the granting of 25.4 billion VND from the city budget to create a coastal path allowing public access to beaches on the southern side of the Future Property Invest tourism area project.

Accordingly, the path’s width will be expanded from 4m to 20.5m as previously approved to synchronise with the width of Nguyen Than Hien Street at the beginning of Vo Nguyen Giap - Nguyen Than Hien intersection.

Also, the project will feature a playground for children, a parking area for motorcycles and bicycles, easy-to-use outdoor fitness equipment, stone benches, and ornamental trees along the footpath in a bid to serve tourists and make the soon-to-be-completed coastal walk more inviting to them.

The construction of the project is scheduled to begin in December 2019 and be completed before 29 March 2020.

Developed by the Quang An Da Nang Tourism Urban Development JSC, the creation of a coastal walkway on the northern side of the Song - Danang Beach Villas project is now underway.

A 7m-wide walkway is being created to the south of the Hoang Dat Silver Shores Exceptional International Entertainment project in Khue My Ward. It is slated to be put into use in December.  

In addition to creating coastal paths in Ngu Hanh Son District, the municipal authorities have given the green light for building squares combined with parking areas along Nguyen Tat Thanh in both Thanh Khe and Lien Chieu districts. The intention is to meet the needs of both locals and visitors for accessing to beaches and enjoying sea space easily.

In details, a total of 16.3 billion VND from the city budget will be poured into the construction of a square combined with a parking area at the end of Nguyen Sinh Sac Street in Hoa Minh Ward, Lien Chieu District. The square will cover an area of 4,298m2. Of this, 21.27% of land will be earmarked for the square, 23.78% for an outdoor gym, and 7.56% for the parking area.

A similar model will be built at the end of Ha Khe Street in Xuan Ha Ward, Thanh Khe District. The 18.3 billion VND work will cover an area of 5,860m2.

The construction of the two projects will start in 2020.

As for squares combined with parking areas at the end of Nguyen An Ninh and Nguyen Tat Thanh streets, relevant units are developing details plans for submitting them to the municipal government for approval.
