A meeting to assess 8 architectural designs for the upgrade of the Da Nang-based 29 March Park was held in Da Nang last Saturday.

Co-organised by the Thanh Khe District authorities, and the Technical Advice Centre of the municipal Department of Construction, the event was chaired by the municipal People’s Committee Chairman Dang Viet Dung.

To date, the organisers of a contest to choose best architectural designs for upgrade of the 29 March Park have received a total of 8 entries from domestic and foreign designers.

All of the entrants have certificates of competency and business licences, and especially some of them have won high prizes in previous design competitions.

A first prize of 300 million VND, a second prize of 70 million VND and a community-selected prize worth 40 million VND will be given out to outstanding entries. In addition, a total of 140 million VND in aid will go to entrants advancing to the final round of the contest.
