The owner of the barbershop is Mr Nguyen Minh Vuong, 25, from Quang Nam Province’s Nong Son District.

Mr Vuong’s shop has been opened for 5 months, and he has also offer free haircuts to the poor during that period. Those who receive free haircuts include 'xe om' (motorbike taxi) drivers, lottery ticket sellers, delivery employees, orphans, and disabled children.

Free haircuts are available at the barbershop from Mondays to Thursdays between 8.00am and 12.00am daily. In addition, he is willing to give free haircuts to those in need at weekends.

Mr Vuong’s shop gives haircuts to between 5 and 10 people per day. After finishing haircuts, Mr Vuong invites people to come back to his shop next time.

Being one of loyal customers of the barbershop, 37-year-old Pham Van Cong, a Grab Bike driver, said he has his hair cut at the shop about 5 times, helping him save small amounts of money for his family.

Mr Chau Van Thanh, 53, from Cam Le District is also a loyal customer of the barbershop.

“Despite free haircuts, the shop’s hair stylists always ask me what hairstyles I like and cut my hair very careful and meticulously. That's why I love the shop, so I often come back and recommend it to my friends” Mr Thanh added.

The kind-hearted barber remarked despite his small shop, he can meet the demand of locals. Therefore, he encouraged even more poor people to visit his shop to enjoy free haircuts in the coming time.

In the future, he plans to offer free haircuts to poor workers in the city-based industrial parks, or living in social protection centres and poor rural areas.
