Master plan for Hi-tech Park' progress by 2030 approved
The Da Nang People’s Committee has approved the master plan for the development of the Da Nang Hi-tech Park by 2030.
The plan aims to create future strategies and effectively use all resources for the construction and development of the Hi-tech Park in association with the creative, scientific-technological urban area meeting the international standards and high competitiveness under the Politburo's Resolution No 43-NQ/TW regarding the city’s progress by 2030 with a vision toward 2045.
On the spotlight of the approved master plan are specific targets set for the 2020 - 2025 and 2026 – 2030 periods, thereby identifying key tasks to develop such special aspects as production; research - incubation - training; logistics and hi-tech services; and support industries in order to attract more investment inflows into the park.
After 9 years of construction, 85% of the work items in the 1st stage of the Hi-tech park project and 70% in the 2nd stage have been basically completed, herby offering a combined total of more than 350ha of land with adequate basic infrastructure available for domestic and foreign investors.
To date, the Hi-tech Park has attracted 17 projects, of which 8 are FDI ones totalling 330.96 million US$, accounting for 58.8% of the total capital.
The 170 million US$ Sunshine aerospace components factory, whose developer is the US-based Universal Alloy Corporation Asia Pte. LTD-UAC, is now one of the largest FDI projects operating in the city.
Besides perfecting infrastructure to attract even more investment in hi-tech production activities, the park is also focusing on constructing a hi-tech business incubator and making preparations for the establishment of technology research and application centres to head towards building an innovative startup ecosystem at the park.
