New public dustbin placement model trialed
A new public dustbin placement model started its pilot operation on a section of Thai Phien Street, Hai Chau District on Tuesday afternoon, according to the municipal Department of Natural Resources and the Environment.
The operation of the new public dustbin placement model aims to reduce environmental pollution and ensure the clean and beautiful urban landscape as well. |
Accordingly, a section of the Thai Phien pavement was dismantled, lowered, upgraded, paved with ceramic tiles to place 4 large-sized trash bins. In particular, there are leachate collection pipes, dustbin washing faucets, green-covered areas with ornamental plants and flowers, and 2 surveillance cameras operating at this trash collection point.
The setting up of a similar point is progressing well on a section of Le Hong Phong Street.
After the trial operation period of these trash collection points, relevant agencies will assess their function and effectiveness so as to expand this new model into other local locations.
