The city's women promote gender equality
More than 500 women in total who were members of the Da Nang Women's Union and its chapters performed a flashmob at the East Sea Park on Friday morning.

This was an activity in active response to the Year of Safe for Women and Children, and the National Action Month for Gender Equality and Gender-Based Violence Prevention.
Also present at the event were municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Le Trung Chinh, and some representatives from the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women.

This year’s Action Month for Gender Equality and Gender-Based Violence Prevention will take place across the country between 15 November and 15 December.
Over recent years, Da Nang has been actively involved in combating domestic violence, and violence against women and girls.
