Traffic re-arrangement at western end of the Rong Bridge
The Da Nang authorities have approved a plan on re-arranging the traffic network at the western end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge.
In particular, 3-phase signal systems will be installed at the two busy junctions west of the Bridge.
A section of Nguyen Van Linh between its intersections with Le Dinh Duong and Bach Dang streets will have road surface widened, whilst median strips will be extended to the roundabout, and they are also narrowed from 3m in width to only 1m.
A dedicated right turning lane will be arranged at the intersection of Nguyen Van Linh and Trung Nu Vuong streets in order to allow road users to turn right without slowing down or impeding traffic behind them. No vehicles will be allowed to stop and park near this area.
A part of pavements on 2 September Street near the Museum of Cham Sculpture will be refurbished to widen road surfaces.
Besides, a section of Tran Phu between its intersections with Hoang Van Thu and Le Dinh Duong will be widen from 3 lanes to 4 lanes for vehicles, and the pavements along the section will be narrowed.
A dedicated area will be earmarked in front of stop line on 2 September Street in order for 2-wheeled vehicles to wait at red lights, and have priority to go first when the light changes to green.
A 130m-long section of Trung Nu Vuong between its intersections with Nguyen Van Linh and a road behind the Museum of Cham Sculpture, or a 600m-long section of Trung Nu Vuong between its intersection with Nguyen Van Linh and Nguyen Thien Thuat, will be switched to one-way traffic.
