About 3.5 billion VND for rearranging traffic at western end of Tien Son Bridge
The Da Nang authorities have given the green light for spending about 3.5 billion VND from the city budget on rearranging traffic network at the western end of the Tien Son Bridge.
In particular, parking is banned along roads within 100m of the existing roundabout at the western end of the Tien Son Bridge during rush hours from 6.30am - 8.00am, and 4.00pm and 7.00pm daily.
The focus will be on narrowing sidewalk corners at the intersection of Cach Mang Thang Tam Street and an approach road to the bridge, and the central divide along Cach Mang Thang Tam.
A dedicated area will be earmarked in front of stop line on Cach Mang Thang Tam towards the roundabout in order for 2-wheeled and rudimentary vehicles to wait at red lights, and have priority to go first when the light changes to green.
Road block poles will be installed between the straight and right-turn lanes in order to help road users not to mistake the lanes.
The work is scheduled to be implemented during the 2019-2020 period.
