Heavy rains causes landslides on paths leading to Son Tra Peninsula
Prolonged heavy rainfall during the past week triggered landslides along several roads leading to Da Nang’s Son Tra Peninsula.

In particular, a volume of soil and stones have spilled out onto a road leading to the Ban Co (Chessboard) Peak which intersects Yet Kieu Street, affecting the traffic movement.
Still worse, many fallen trees, landslides on the cliffs and damaged taluses have been seen at the Ho Sau (Deep Hole) area.

The Deputy Head of the Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourism Beaches, Mr Phan Minh Hai, said his unit has joined forces with relevant agencies to place warning signs on these landsides-ravaged paths in order to ensure the ultimate safety of travellers, and avoid any unexpected incidents.

In the current context of erratic weather change and possible torrential rains in the coming days, locals and visitors are asked to be extra careful going to the peninsula for safety reasons.
