The Da Nang native woman has started to get involved in charitable work since raising funds for a free medical examination and treatment programme in 2012. After that, she realised that there were a lot of people in need of help. Then, she has call on her friends and relatives to cook and provide free meals for hospital patients in need.

With the active support from her friends and family members, Mrs Huyen has established the ‘Uoc Mo Xanh’ (Blue Dream) Club with like-minded members.

Since her charity club was set up, Mrs Huyen has won the trust of many philanthropists at both home and abroad. She has become a bridge connecting generous donors from both home and abroad with disadvantaged people in the city.

Every month, the kind-hearted woman and her club members give free portions of rice soup to poor patients in the city-based hospitals, the elderly in centres for social protection, and AO-affected people in the Care Centre for AO Victims.

Several times a year, Mrs Huyen visits and presents gifts to poor people in the provinces of Quang Nam, Kom Tum and Quang Tri, and in other mountainous areas in northern provinces. Besides, she has become actively involved in giving means of livelihood to the poor across the city.
