The Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourism Beaches on Thursday dispelled the rumour being spread on social networking sites that the admission fee at the Son Tra Peninsula will be 200,000 VND per person.

A spokesperson for the Management Board affirmed that admission to the peninsula is free for all visitors.

According to the pilot plan on managing and ensuring safety of visitors on the city’s Son Tra Peninsula which will run from 15 November 2019 - 15 February 2020, time limits for visiting the Son Tra Peninsula will be set from 7.30am to 7.00pm daily. Each of visitors to the peninsula will receive a travel card at security guard stations placed along some certain roads leading to this site.

The intention is to help the city increase the efficiency of managing visitors and travelling vehicles at the peninsula every day, especially at night, in order to prevent accidents and timely handle unexpected incidents.

In particular, single-day green travel cards will be offered to visitors who go sightseeing, and those who are on duty, at the Son Tra Peninsula.  The one-day card is valid on the date inscribed until the end of operating hours.

Meanwhile, multi-day yellow travel cards will be offered to afforestation households, photographers, interns, and postgraduate students conducting scientific research activities.

The above-mentioned cards will be granted by the Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourism Beaches.
