Every day, the Tourist Support Centre under the management of the city’s Tourism Promotion Centre welcomes hundreds of visitors who come to ask for tourism information, and ask for help to deal with their tourism-related problems.
Over the past time, the Tourist Support Centre has joined forces with functional bodies, the tourism rapid response team, and the 1022 Call Centre to provide free tourism information for visitors, and receive their complaints.
In addition, the Centre’s staff members have become actively involved in returning missing passports, phones, personal papers, and property to owners, as well as providing translators for non-English-speaking tourists in some unexpected incidents. All complaints and problems have been handled quickly and effectively, bringing satisfaction to tourists.
Most recently, on 16 September, a German tourist travelling to Da Nang on the flight No VJ503 forgot a document file at the domestic terminal of the Da Nang International Airport. The file included his passport, a medical examination book, an airline ticket VJ503, and 2 Russia - Ha Noi airline tickets.
The German guest immediately asked the Tourist Support Centre for help. On the same day, the foreigner received all his lost property, and he thanked the centre’s staff for their enthusiastic help.
Deputy Director of the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Centre Huynh Thi Huong Lan remarked the Tourist Support Centre at 108 Bach Dang Street, plus 2 tourist information desks at Da Nang International Airport, have made great efforts to give timely assistance to domestic and foreign visitors.
In particular, during the first nine months of this year, the tourist information desks at the airport welcomed about 25,000 visitors who come to ask for tourism information.
Meanwhile, the Tourist Support Centre at 108 Bach Dang Street received more than 20,000 visitors. Besides, around 1,500 visitors called the support centre’s hotline on (0236) 3 550111 to ask for such information.
