The Mid-Central Region Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting has predicted scattered moderate to heavy downpours linger across central localities from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai, including Da Nang, into Friday. The soaking weather is sparked by the influence of the ongoing continental cold high pressure moving from the north associated with high winds.

The total amount of rain pouring onto these central localities is expected to reach 20mm - 50mm, even 70mm in some of their parts.

Da Nang, in particular, is forecast to see cloudy weather and scattered showers in the daytime with the temperatures hovering at between 21 to 27 degrees, whilst the lowest humidity is reported as 87%.
