Under the agreement, the 3 companies will cooperate in completing land procedures, developing an environmental protection plan for the project, and asking for permission from the municipal People's Committee for approval to pilot the operation of the project for 12 months and expand it if the pilot results are positive.
The plant will be constructed on an area of about 300m2 at the Khanh Son Landfill within in 3 months at a cost of 100,000 US$ with a maximum monthly capacity of about 150 tonnes.
The plant will use the technology of melting in closed furnaces all types of non-recyclable plastic waste such as food containers, plastic bags, cups and straws into useful products which can replace wooden materials.
Although the recycling technology doesnot generate exhaust fumes and toxic gases but the plant is still equipped with steam and gas collecting and handling systems.
