Visiting Hoa Phong Commune-based Tuy Loan ‘banh trang’ rice paper making village, the South Korean guests gained a deeper insight into ‘banh trang’ making processes, namely choosing ingredients, soaking rice, grinding the rice into fine powder, spreading a spoonful of wet batter over the closely woven steaming basket, taking out the almost-transparent rice sheet with bamboo sticks and baking the cakes. In particular, the visitors showed their eagerness in enjoying this time-honoured delicacy.

During their stay in the district, the South Korean visitors also visited the Hoa Vang District Administration Centre and the Hoa Phong Preschool, and took part in cultural and arts exchanges with pupils’ clubs at the Nguyen Phu Huong Junior High School.

The Da Nang trip by the South Korean delegation was part of a series of international exchange and cooperation programmes between Hoa Vang District and Yeongyang County which has run for nearly 3 years in the aspects of training human resources for hi-tech agricultural production, cultural exchanges and education.
