Ensuring construction progress of Ngu Hanh Son Wastewater Treatment Plant
On Monday, Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Dang Viet Dung checked the deployment of a project on upgrading the Ngu Hanh Son Wastewater Treatment Plant, and inspected the damage of a road connecting the Ban Co (Chessboard) Peak with the Bai Bac tourist site in Son Tra District.
During his inspection visit to the Ngu Hanh Son Wastewater Treatment Plant, Vice Chairman Dung urged construction units to make greater efforts to ensure that the construction of the TK2 intermediate wastewater storage tank will be completed by April. The intention was to ensure effective wastewater collection in Son Tra and Ngu Hanh Son districts during the city’s tourism peak season.
He also asked contractors to ensure the on-schedule completion of the project in November.
Work started on a project on upgrading the Ngu Hanh Son Wastewater Treatment Plant in June 2019.
The plant, with a daily treatment capacity of 30,000m3, costs 275 billion VND funded by the city budget.
The Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) will be applied in the wastewater treatment. The plant’s discharged wastewater meets A-grade quality which is the national standard for industrial wastewater.
During their meeting with Vice Chairman Dung, the Management Board of Construction and Investment Projects for Agriculture and Rural Development Works proposed to refurbish the 6km-long road connecting the Ban Co (Chessboard) Peak with the Bai Bac tourist site in Son Tra District.
The focus will be on widening road surfaces and asphalting the road surface in order to ensure the safety of visitors to the Son Tra Peninsula.
