Over 68 million VND raised from first 'Cup of Compassion Coffee' programme of 2020
A total of over 68 million VND was raised from generous donors at the 15th edition of ‘Ly Ca Phe Yeu Thuong’ (Cup of Compassion Coffee) monthly programme which recently took place at the New Hawaii coffee shop, 15 Tran Quy Cap, Hai Chau District, Da Nang.

The collected money, which has brought the current fund of the programme to more than 943.6 million VND, is expected to help those in need, including reporters in difficult circumstances.
Jointly organised by the municipal Journalists’ Association, and the Office of the municipal National Assembly - the People’s Council - People’s Committee, the event was attended by People’s Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho, Vice Chairmen Dang Viet Dung and Le Trung Chinh, plus a large number of government employees, reporters, and philanthropists across the city.

In his remarks at the event, Chairman Tho highlighted the significance of the programme in creating an ideal rendezvous for local reporters, and appealing for donations to help the needy people.
According to the latest figures released by the Executive Board of the 'Cup of Compassion Coffee' programme, a total of 510.826 million VND from the programme’s fund had gone to help 150 disadvantaged people all over the city.
