The Spring Flower Festival 2020 will take place at the Da Nang-based 29 March Park from 23 - 29 January (the 29^th day of the 12^th lunar month to 5^th day of the 1^st lunar month).

Currently, the festival’s organisers are making every effort to ensure the success of the forthcoming event.

During the one-week event, dozens of outdoor games will be available for both domestic and foreign visitors. Included will be airplanes, swan boats, trains, self-driving electric cars, ball houses, and Ferris wheel.

In particular, the focus is paid on upgrading and doing maintenance work for the games in a bid to ensure the safety of visitors.

In addition to the above-mentioned games, a wide range of arts programmes and competitions will be held during the forthcoming festival.  

Specifically mentioned will be Tuong (classical drama) performances by artistes from the Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong Theatre, ‘bai choi’ performances, wonderful lion dances to welcome in the Lunar New Year, a musical performance themed ‘Da Nang Welcomes in Spring’, and human chess games.

Also, staff members of the city's Green Trees-Park Company are getting actively involved in repainting fence, growing different types of flowers, and whitewashing tree trunks in the park.

Mr Vuong Tuan Kiet, Director of Thanh Khe District-based Cultural and Sports Centre, said the organising board has joined forces with relevant agencies to ensure the preparations for various exciting cultural events held during the 7-day festival in order to make Spring Flower Festival 2020 a safe and attractive destination for visitors.
