51 suspected cases of nCoV infection discharged from hospital
As of 2 February, a total of 73 suspected cases of the novel coronavirus infection had been recorded in Da Nang.
Of this, 24 foreign and 27 Vietnamese suspected patients had been discharged from local hospitals as their health had been recovered well after being quarantined for coronavirus.
Meanwhile, the remaining 22 suspected cases are being quarantined at the Da Nang General Hospital and the Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital.
To date, the throat swabs and blood serum samples of 39 suspected cases with high fever had been sent to the Nha Trang Pasteur Institute to test for the coronavirus. As a result, 32 of them have tested negative for the Wuhan coronavirus. The remaining 7 samples have been waiting for test results from the Nha Trang Pasteur Institute.
In addition, 28 people who have returned to the city from abroad, not from China’s Wuhan, have been checked and monitored their health conditions in the locality. Of them, 18 foreigners have had normal health and they have already returned to their hometowns.
