Twenty-two of them are South Korean nationals, whilst the remaining passengers are Vietnamese students and workers.

They were onboard the Vietjet Air-operated flight VJ871 which took off at Daegu City’s airport at 6.52am, and landed at Da Nang International Airport at 10.43am on Monday.

As soon as arriving in Da Nang, these passengers declared their medical conditions, and had their body temperature checked.

Currently, they are being kept in quarantine at the Dong Nghe Training Centre which is used to receive people from epidemic-infected areas.

During their stay at the centre, these passengers will have their body temperatures measured 2 - 3 times per day. Also, they are asked to gargle with salt water, and they are advised to keep the hands, foot and face clean to prevent the spread of infections.

If any passengers develop or start to show symptoms of fever, they will be immediately taken to the city-based Lung Hospital for treatment.

Also on Monday, the Lung Hospital put 3 additional suspected patients in quarantine to test for coronavirus after coming into contact with Chinese and South Korean visitors.

As of Monday morning, a total of 5 suspected cases of coronavirus had been reported in the city. They are currently isolated at the Lung, and Maternity and Paediatrics hospitals in the city.

Among the new suspected cases are one male native of Da Nang with a high fever returned home from South Korea, and a 6-year-old child returned to the city from Vinh Phuc Province.
